We have had another fourth grader level up in Lexia! He moved from level 16 up to 17! Can you tell he is proud of his accomplishment? I know we are proud of him!

Mrs. Hamptons class spent the week practicing skills with time and money.

The rain last week had Mrs. Van Valkenburgh looking like a mother hen with her chicks! We appreciate you! ❤️🐓🐥

We have had four fourth grade students who have leveled up using Lexia English. We are proud of their language acquisition, and the levels they have mastered. This program focuses on grammar and word usage, along with listening and speaking activities. All of these activities are completed in English. Congratulations to them all!

Mrs. Bethel's class celebrated their great behavior on Friday by bringing stuffies to school and decorating and eating sugar cookies. Yum Yum.

Mrs. Bethel's class delivered candy and cards to Mrs. Angie, Mrs. Jeriel, and Mrs. Elizabeth to celebrate them!

Second grade is so thankful for our Adopt-a-Class volunteers. Mrs. Barahona's class is blessed to have Mr. Murphy. Mrs. Fields's class is thankful for Ms. Susan. Mrs. Turpin's class is grateful for Mrs. Robin and Mrs. Laura. These volunteers come each week and are willing to do anything asked. Here are just some of the amazing things they have done this year: worked with a small group, planned a hands-on activity for a lesson, read with a student, tutored a student struggling to read, brought snacks and treats to share with the kids, made copies, cut out things for the classroom, and even did yoga. Thank you volunteers for all your help this year!

Mrs. Hampton’s 1st grade class loves their volunteer, Ms. Sandy. She is the best! Thank you for all you do Ms. Sandy. ❤️

TCAP Testing Week 2
2nd grade will finish up ELA and math testing this week.
5th grade will complete science testing on Wednesday and Thursday.

Classroom egg hunts and releasing butterflies.... woohoo! Spring is in full swing in first grade!

Over the past few weeks, second graders have been patiently watching five caterpillars go through metamorphosis. This week, we released lots of butterflies. Thank you Adopt-a-Class for our butterfly kits! 🦋

Second grade honored Jackie Robinson Day today. On April 15, 1947, Robinson broke the color barrier when he played for the Dodgers. Second graders listened to the story "Jackie Robinson: Champion of Equality" and wore number 42, Dodgers, or anything baseball related.

First graders that earned a POP Ticket had a lot of fun this afternoon!
